Oh, hey. I’m Shanna!

My husband is Dave, and together we have two sweet little nuggets, Neeson Foley + Copeland Gene! Boy babe THREE is due to arrive in early Spring and we couldn’t be more excited for our little boy band family to be complete!

I have no idea how to french braid, so it’s a good thing I don’t have a daughter. You’ll typically find me in jeans (okay that’s a lie… leggings, lets be real), a tshirt, and half mom-bun, enjoying a white chocolatey drink that is way more sugar than coffee.

We recently sold our first home and attempted to hit the road. Ha! We began renovating a 1978 Airstream Argosy, whom we’ve affectionately named May, and had plans to spend a few months traveling around Colorado & a bit beyond, and living tiny on the most beautiful plot of dense, pine filled land. But, alas, things rarely work out as planned and we learned real quick that the Airstream life just wasn’t for us. We hope to have our May complete and listed for sale around May – exactly one year after we started on this wild ride. We’re still be home based in Colorado, as we’ve grown to call those gorgeous Rocky Mountains home. Eventually, we hope to settle down in the mountains and introduce our boys to the joys of small town living.

Dave and I are visual storytellers: we own Basecamp Visual – check it! – where we craft wedding & elopement heirloom films & stills for the wild at heart. We also offer lifestyle family & brand photography & videography over at Basecamp, and we couldn’t love it more! We’re constantly trying to figure out the perfect balance of work, family, and adventure. We have a lot of love for all of them, so that makes it a little easier. Most days are a mess, but at least we get to do it together.

We spend a lot of time collaborating with some incredible people, lovin’ on our handsome little boys, and taking in all Colorado has to offer. I’m so thankful for the community we’ve found here.

Hey Neeson was born from a dream of living happily, simply, and with intention, doing what we love and spending our time together. I believe that less is always more. Unless you’re talking about how much you love your people and how many cookies you eat. Then more. Always more.

We yearn for slow, small town living and are working hard to give our boys a childhood of open skies and freedom to run. A place to listen to the cicadas under the stars at night and skip rocks in the neighboring creek during the day. This journey is just beginning for us and I’m so excited to outline it for you here.
