Chicago has always been one of my favorite cities. Before last week I’d only visited once, waaaaaaay back in high school, but I loved it. I loved its proximity to the lake, the wild & quick hustle, the beautiful sky line. I’m a small town girl through and though, but I love the feeling of losing (or finding?) yourself in a big city.

In celebration of my sister-in-law’s graduation (with her PhD, might I add! You go, girl!) from Loyola, the McCann clan took on Chicago. We meandered through the Art Institute, rented Divvy bikes and spent the afternoon riding along Lakeshore Drive, visited Wrigleyville, the farmer’s market in Lincoln Park and the CUTEST flower shop in Old Towne, and ate and drank to our hearts content. I even forgot my ID on our first night out and Dave and I had to take the train and a cab ALLLLLL the way back to the condo. We missed the Tiki hut, but made it back in plenty of time for dinner AND we didn’t even fight about it. It was a successful trip. 🙂
