children’s museum

We spent one cold & windy morning during our visit back to South Dakota at the Brookings Children’s Museum. Neeson LOVED it. He got to pretend to fix cars, garden, farm; he read books, attempted to hulahoop, shoved yarn balls into this giant vacuum room and watched the fly through the tubes; and played in the water until his sweater was soaked. His giggles were uncontrollable and watching him run from room to room to see what he could discover next just melted my mama heart.

His favorite, though – we had to do it twice! – was the little grocery store. Using a pint sized cart, he could walk through the store and shop for all his favorites. True to our household, we got lots of milk, ketchup, eggs, and flour for cookies. 🙂

Little Copeland had a pretty cozy time, too. His favorite was the vacuum room. It’s amazing what captures the attention of the littlest babes.
