eleven mile state park

“When life gets rough I like to hold onto my dreams of relaxing in the summer sun, just letting off steam. Oh, the sky will be blue, and you guys’ll be there, too, when I finally do what frozen things do in summmmer!”

Name that movie.

But really. It’s SUMMMMMER! Camping season is among us and in the midst finishing a couple ETSY orders and painting, lettering, and building so. many. things. for this weekend’s upcoming market, Dave suggested a spur of the moment camping trip on Saturday night. We loaded up all the camping gear (meticulously organized in 4 different totes, of course) and we were on our way! Brody was the happiest little dog the whole time. 🙂 I think he was just glad we were taking him with us. He’s so clingy.

We made the hour drive into the mountains to Eleven Mile State Park. It’s so gorgeous! We grilled delicious food and did some bouldering to get some great shots of the entire park. We finished off the night with a beautiful fire and saw more stars than I have ever seen in a night sky – “They’re fireflies. Fireflies that, uh… got stuck up on that big bluish-black thing.” Name THAT movie, too.

I just love summer.
